The Dance Party of Newfoundland was formed in 2004 and has since gone on to perform sold out shows in St. John's, Chicago, Dawson City, Toronto and Whitehorse. They have appeared on national television as a part of the CBC comedy special, Sketch with Kevin McDonald, on national radio with the CBC favorite Madly Off In All Directions and are currently developing a half hour radio pilot for CBC. The DPN played to a capacity crowd at The Magnetic North Theatre Festival last July. They received a standing ovation from an over-sold audience last November at the Gladstone Theatre during the Toronto Sketch Comedy Festival. The boys have just returned from the Chicago SketchFest where the Chicago Sun Times called them ‘rising stars’. They are now gearing up for their cross-province tour of Newfoundland and Labrador.
